Her research interests are focused on the issues related to the social and criminal juvenile policies and the implementation of children rights; decision-making processes; children migrations and vulnerabilities.

She teaches “Sociology of Law and Deviance behaviour” for BA and Ma Courses at the Department of Political and Social Sciences, University of Catania.
In 2019, she did teaching activity WECCS Crash Course (Welcome to Europe, my Country, my City, my School), Academic session - Migrants in Europe: Inclusion/exclusion. Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union organised in collaboration with Jean Monnet Chair EUMedEA DSPS, University of Catania.
In 2019, she did teaching activity on “The best interest of the child in Europe” at the University College of Enterprise and Administration di Lublin (Poland), Erasmus+ programme 2019.
In 2019, she did seminar activity on ‘Legal contexts, citizenship and Human Trafficking investigation. Improving transnational investigations between Italy and France’ at the University of Toulouse – Jean Jaures, France.
In 2019, she did teaching activity on Juvenile Justice in Europe at the Law and Innovation Master’s Program, University Federal de Juiz de Fora, Brazil.
In 2018, she did teaching activity on “Unaccompanied minors in Europe” at the University College of Enterprise and Administration di Lublin (Poland), Erasmus+ programme 2018.
