I am researching and investigating on an internship project within the department Centro de Investigação e Estudos de Sociologia (CIES-IUL) in ISCTE University Institute of Lisbon, Portugal. The research and internship project is on Third Sector via a comparative studies in Portugal in the context of the workplace via examination of the sociology public policy approach of the issues of Equal Pay.
- I attended the Legal Profession Group Meeting and workshop on Notaries June 2024 in Onati at the IISL Workshop presented the analysis of the public sector equality duty regulations in the UK in the local authorities to as part of my ongoing research. This specifically looked at the application of the proposed alternative regulatory approach via comparative study; Germany, Iceland, France and Portugal
- I am part of the working group on Social Systems Theory as part of the Research Sociology of Law Committee. I attend the regular monthly meetings (held by zoom across participants in Sweden, Denmark, Portugal, Germany, UK and Brazil) I add to discussions by contributing my research on the global issues of pay within the working group through a theoretical lens.
- I will be presenting at the RCSL ( Research Committee on the Sociology of Law) in Morocco 2025 my research findings to my thesis at the University of Warwick on the Public Sector Equality Duty in the UK; the critical analysis from the reflexive regulation perspective. I have attended the past conferences in 2024 Wales Bangor, 2023 Sweden Lund and 2022 Lisbon Portugal.
- Senior Graduate Teaching Assistant in Warwick's School of Law, Teaching the foundations of European Union Law, Law of Trusts and Tort Law core modules on the law undergraduate course.
- Alongside my teaching commitments and doctoral thesis research in progress, I have continued to work in the legal sector building a vast portfolio in a variety of areas of law in the UK. As an experienced paralegal, my legal experience has focused on Employment and Commercial litigation matters. I handle and support strategic decisions on high profile projects dealing with substantial volume of employment, business, immigration and pensions litigation advisory regulatory work.
