About 20 academics from five countries are having a workshop on Disability and (Virtual) Institutions?: Interventions, Integration and Inclusion, which is being chaired by Linda Steele (University of Technology Sydney), Penelope Weller (RMIT University, Melbourne Australia) and Claire Spivakovsky (Monash University).
The coordinators believe that "now is a timely moment to stop and reflect on law’s complex role in contemporary practices affecting people with disability". Among other case studies, they will look at the impact of the legal reform recently implemented in the Basque Country.
