Grant opportunities offered by the IISL
The International Institute for the Sociology of Law is a non-profit foundation that attracts international scholars and students with high-quality academic programmes. It promotes scholarly activities mainly by offering affordable prizes and providing organisational support. Without the substantial support of donors, the IISL generally cannot dispense of full scholarships to facilitate the stay of scholars and students lacking their own financial means or without access to other funding possibilities.
However, the IISL offers a few complementary grant opportunities to support students in need and attract early career researchers, in specific, in the following three tiers.
- Global South Scholarship for applicants to the IISL’s Master’s programme
- Small grants for students enrolled in the IISL's Master's programme
- Residence grants for visiting scholars (early-career) using the IISL library
